Approval of the Procedure for conducting remote inspections using VIEWAPP

On 6 September 2023, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Moscow Region approved the Procedure for remote inspections of self-propelled machines and other equipment as part of the state registration service.

These remote inspections will be carried out using the VIEWAPP software package.

The approved VIEWAPP digital inspection procedure is in line with the objectives of:

- Building up digital technologies as part of digital transformation;

- Increasing the share of socially important digital services;

- Reducing budget expenditure on repair and maintenance of vehicles involved in face-to-face inspections by inspectors;

- Improving the quality of service of state and municipal services in digital format.

VIEWAPP will be used to carry out the following controls:

- Verification of the compliance of the design of the inspected object with the submitted documentation;

- Verification of the conformity of the modifications made to the design for safety;

- Compliance of the main components of the machinery with the records.

VIEWAPP digital inspections proved successful in pilot testing, which led to further scaling up of remote inspections by the Ministry of Ecology and Nature Management of the Moscow Region.
