ViewApp in the final of ZIMA StartUp Contest

The second annual startup competition opened on November 1 in London under the patronage of ZimaClub, selected 9 finalists, including the ViewApp project.

ZIMA StartUp is a large-scale event aimed at promoting promising projects, this time held not only among Russian speakers living in the UK, but also those who are just going to conquer a new promising market. Initially, 55 applications from nine countries (21 from the UK) were filed. The main selection criteria for participation in the competition:

• Technological startup in the first stages of development;
• The presence of an innovative product with the prospect of scaling and active growth.

Partners of the contest organizer:

• Bank Julius Baer;
• UK Department of International Trade (DIT UK).

The competition attracted not only private investors, but also venture investors:

• Matrix Capital,
• Maxfield Capital,
• Letter One Technologies,
• Eurasia-VEON,
• Haxus Ventures,
• 4bio Capital,
• Digital Horizon VC.

The project includes not only workshops with members of the expert council, but also mentoring classes with local market experts; in addition, participants will receive practical advice and recommendations from DIT UK on how to expand to the UK market.

The final of the ZIMA StartUp competition is yet to come, it will be held on February 3, 2020. Julius Baer Bank prepared a special prize - an exclusive presentation of its product in front of keybank experts at Red Carpet Day at the central office in Zurich. The prize will go to the winner in the Entrepreneur of the Future nomination.
