ViewApp is the best digital project in the financial sector

On June 26, 2020, the final competition took place in the Startup Cafe PRO: FinTech, where 13 participants competed for the main prize, the prestigious nomination “The best digital project in the financial sector”.

They submitted their startups to a strict jury that included:

• Representatives of large banks (Otkritie, Alfa Bank, VTB Bank, Gazprombank, Post Bank, Sovcombank);
• Director General of the Association of Financial Technologies;
• Vice President SME Tinkoff;
• Director of the Department of Innovation;
• Global Financial Planning Manager Revolut;
• Head of the BCS brokerage business;
• Deputy General Director of the Innovation Agency of Moscow;
• Founder and CEO of Fintech Lab;
• Representative of the Department of Financial Technologies of the Bank of Russia;
• Chief Investment Officer, Digital Horizon Group.

Participants were selected from 92 applications, the startups were so interesting that instead of the planned 10 projects 13 were selected. The main focus of the startup participants was to increase the efficiency of banking businesses:
• Digitalization of paper documents;
• Automation of sales channels for banking products;
• Robotization of call centers, etc.

The start-up cafe was held in a modern format: online and offline performances by participants and jury members. In short pitches, startup representatives presented their projects and answered additional questions.

Based on the results of the jury’s vote, ViewApp scored 128 points for the implementation of all types of examinations, 8 points ahead of the closest rival - this is a confident and deserved victory.

The representative of Gazprombank Daria Chernozub noted that ViewApp is already recognized by the market and is of interest for further cooperation.

Alexey Nikityuk, Revolut global financial planning manager, whom the ViewApp team has already met at the ZIMA StartUp contest, said live from London that he admires what ViewApp does in the social sphere (inspections of monuments dedicated to the Second World War), and noted that he foresaw the progress of ViewApp’s business against the backdrop of the demand for contactless technologies, which he was very pleased with, and also wished further success.

Leonid Nazarov, vice president of SME Tinkoff, who presented the prize, wished ViewApp further development, noting that the team copes very well, and paid special attention to social contribution it does.
