ViewApp: helicopter inspections in Burkina Faso and Somalia
How do you inspect leased assets on another continent in the midst of a rampant pandemic? Now there is an answer - with the ViewApp.
SberLeasing, a leader in the Russian leasing industry, inspected two helicopters 6,000 kilometres away from Moscow: the leased items are in Burkina Faso and Somalia. In order to inspect the helicopters, the necessary specialised settings were added to the inspection script to reveal the technical condition of the equipment.
ViewApp allows any inspection scenario to be set up quickly, as the application is a versatile builder, which in turn provides ample opportunity to conduct inspections of almost any complexity.
They avoid the effort that would be involved in a faceto-face inspection, where an employee could be sent on an expensive business trip and the process of inspecting remotely located property could add up to a lot of time and money.
As a result, using ViewApp, the entire process of monitoring the condition of the leased property takes a maximum of two days, from the time of the request to the generation of a detailed report. The customer does the inspections and the results are instantly available once the video and photo material hits the server.
Another important point to highlight is the security of ViewApp technology against counterfeiting. Especially when inspections are carried out over long distances and the slightest possibility of fraud has to be ruled out. An elaborate system of a number of security parameters works when using ViewApp to protect all inspections performed against tampering. Of course, this also has a positive impact on saving the company's process security monitoring resources.
The remote inspection provides SberLeasing with high quality information that gives a complete picture of the leased asset:
- Its availability;
- Condition;
- Preservation.
The introduction of ViewApp technology into commercial operation at SberLeasing occurred in April of last year and coincided with the height of the coronavirus infection and the limitations and countermeasures it entailed. It has become perfectly clear that remote working tools have come to the fore, helping to avoid not only the major costs but also the risk of spreading infection.
Digitalisation is a major trend of today, and it will undoubtedly evolve and scale rapidly in the near future. And those companies that are quick to recognize this situation and incorporate ViewApp technology into their business processes will not only have a tremendous competitive advantage, but will also realize tremendous financial and other resource savings in their business operations.
